"Surf n turf"

- Frank D.

"I'm kin-dove a Philly cheese steak snob. I liked the chicken Philly better than the actual steak one. To me, it just didn't hit the spot like I thought. I also feel like the cheese selection for the philly's wasn't what I expected, as I'm used to American cheese or cheese wiz on my philly. Chicken was good though."

"This is the only place I've never been upset or disappointed with on the West Bank of the 504 since I can remember. Food is ALWAYS hot, cooked to order, delicious and affordable. My favorite sandwiches are the #1 Philly (steak, onions and cheese) and the #18 Lean and Mean (chicken, sausage, shrimp, onions and cheese) fully dressed (mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles but always in the right ratio for their sandwiches). I usually ask for extra cheese and extra seasoning on their sandwiches. They consistently prepare stuffed sandwiches and you never have to worry they are going to give you a loaf of bread with a bit of protein. I am always happy, even when I try different things (Surf and Turf, Cajun Philly, the burgers, their sides like onion rings and fries, etc.). They even make their own sauce for their fried foods so even if you don't get one of their sandwiches, no meal from them is entirely replicable anywhere else. Be generous with the fry seasoning though on their fried foods, it's worth the salt intake. Despite how enjoyable they are, wait times are rarely more than ten minutes on weekdays, fifteen on the weekends. They always have a clean table if you want to eat at the restaurant. All the staff over the years are friendly and have personality. Despite everything they care about making tasty food and give local poboys serious competition. They are a staple for the locals and beloved by a community containing people from truly all walks of life. They do not advertise or do crazy signage so they stay super local. They keep our community eating delicious food despite the ever-changing economy. I have never had anything from here than didn't hit the spot. They provide delicious food for any weary souls. They don't try to do a fancy interior nor bother with expensive packaging and presentation. They know they're they're tasty for a good value but still don't gauge our wallets. They are a relatively hidden spot enjoyable to all with a menu to fill any bellies. They are a gem of a restaurant."

"They used to be in Oakwood Mall and are a Westbank icon imo. Same family owns and operates it all these years. My go to is the Hawaiian Delight. They are generous with the meat, sandwiches are full! Get ya fork ready cuz it's gonna be falling out there's so much "
